If you use a Marine VHF Radio for your water activity, on your boat or yacht you need to hold an appropriate Marine Radio Certificate. Generally this is either the Australian Waters Qualification or Short Range Operators Certificate of Proficiency (SROCP)

With some study of the supplied hand book, a day of training and assessment provided by the Radio and Electronics (SRESU) team Venturers (over 16 years), Rovers and Leaders can achieve the required certificate issued by Office of Maritime Communications at the Australian Maritime College.

Participants must be over 16 years of age.

             Pre course study and passport photograph required

             Training theory and practical training (Face to face training)

             Examination / SROCP Application
